Promote education
Support opportunities to learn and consider barriers that prevent people from accessing useful education.

Empower · Programme overview
Learning and practical skills for greater opportunity.

Our mandate
Promote education, vocational training and digital literacy.
This is one of our established focus areas. Activity examples and the participant journey below are illustrative; eligibility, fees, dates and locations require separate confirmation. Intended outcomes are not reported results.
The context
Education, vocational training and digital literacy are explicit objectives of BEAT–Kenya. This focus area brings learning and skills development into the organization's public benefit mission.
Learning opportunities can help people develop practical capabilities and participate more confidently in their communities. Programme design should consider different starting points and barriers to access.
This focus area brings together education, vocational training and digital literacy. These are complementary routes to learning: education develops knowledge, vocational training relates learning to practical capabilities, and digital literacy supports participation in an increasingly connected world. Activities would be developed around participant needs, relevant expertise and available resources.
Our intentions
Support opportunities to learn and consider barriers that prevent people from accessing useful education.
Connect practical learning with relevant skills and appropriate training opportunities.
Support understanding and use of digital tools through accessible learning.
Illustrative activities
These activities describe a possible delivery approach. The final offer would be shaped by community priorities, available expertise and programme capacity.
Discussions could identify learning goals, existing experience and barriers to participation. They would help shape an appropriate learning offer rather than assume every participant needs the same content.
Activities could connect learners with practical demonstrations or training opportunities supported by suitably experienced facilitators. Trade areas, entry requirements and any certification would need confirmation for each opportunity.
Illustrative topics include using everyday digital tools, finding information and building confidence with basic tasks. Topics, devices, learning materials and accessibility arrangements would be agreed before delivery.
Participants could practise what they have learned, ask questions and exchange experience. Feedback would help assess whether learning is relevant and what further support is needed.
Participation
Learners and community members seeking education, vocational or digital learning opportunities, with attention to vulnerable and marginalized groups.
These are intended participant groups, not eligibility rules. Confirmed opportunities will explain requirements, accessibility arrangements and any costs. Our 18+ membership requirement is separate from programme eligibility.
A proposed participant journey
Understand participants' interests, experience and access needs.
Confirm topics, facilitators, requirements and available resources.
Use practical exercises and opportunities for questions.
Review the usefulness of learning and identify further needs.
Outcomes & learning
Improved access to relevant learning and opportunities to develop practical and digital skills.
These are intended outcomes, not reported achievements. A future monitoring approach would consider the relevance and quality of activities as well as feedback from intended participants. Any published results should have evidence, dates and context.
No programme results are being claimed here. Verified updates and participant stories will be added when available.
